Our safe, comfortable charter buses offer convenient service between Library Plaza on the Virginia Tech campus and Northern Virginia, Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Richmond and Hampton. Our professional drivers let you sleep, study, or just relax without worrying about who is at the wheel.

Convenient

Home Ride is a bus service designed for college students, so our schedule fits your needs. Generally, we leave Blacksburg on Friday afternoons and return Sunday nights. We also make special runs for Fall break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring break to fit the university calendar.

All trips start from Library Plaza at Virginia Tech. On Sunday nights, returning students can get off at either Library Plaza or by Cassell Coliseum on Washington Street. Our stop in Northern Virginia is in the south parking lot of the Vienna Metro Station. In Charlottesville, we stop at the Student Activities Building at UVA; in Harrisonburg, at Godwin Hall at JMU; in Richmond, at the James Cabell Library at VCU; in Hampton, near the Bennigan's restaurant at Coliseum Mall.

Going north, we leave Blacksburg at 12:30 PM, 2:30 PM, and/or 4:30 PM on Fridays, drop off passengers at Harrisonburg or Charlottesville at 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and/or 7:00 PM, and arrive in Vienna at 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and/or 9:00 PM. We do not run at all three times on our less-busy weekends, so please call to inquire about specific dates. The return trip leaves Vienna at 5:30 PM Sunday, picks up at Harrisonburg or Charlottesville at 7:30 PM, and reaches Blacksburg at 10:00 PM.

Going east, we leave Blacksburg at 2:00 PM most Fridays and reach Charlottesville at 4:30 PM, Richmond at 6:00 PM, and Hampton at 7:30 PM. The return trip leaves Hampton on Sunday at 4:30 PM, Richmond at 6:00 PM, Charlottesville at 7:30 PM, and arrives at Blacksburg at 10:00 PM.
